A few weeks ago I shared some of my favorite books from this past year, but I'd also like to share a few of my other favorite things in case they inspire you as well. I hope you'll check these out.
If you know me, you already know I am a huge fan of Stat Wellness. They now have locations in Atlanta, Roswell, and Peachtree City - and soon will open an office in Nashville. The biggest reason I love Stat is that they LISTEN to me, something that is often missing in healthcare. Their team is so kind and so smart! Please check them out. Right now they are running a referral program, so if you purchase any of their memberships, please let them know I sent you by dropping them a quick email at memberships@statwellness.com. There is so much to love at Stat - I am constantly sharing about how much I love them!
I am also a huge fan of therapy. I always say everyone should consider therapy, and should see a therapist who also sees a therapist. :) If you are looking for mental health care in any capacity, I highly recommend East Atlanta Counseling or Cultivate Counseling. We need to lower the stigma of counseling and I am always happy to talk to you about how helpful this can be - for me it has been life changing and of great value.
I have recently been really enjoying candles, and while I primarily hit up Bath & Body Works for their three wicks and long lasting scents, I have also found some favorites on Etsy that are wonderful for gifts. Check out Cam Candles & Co (their cinnamon sugar donut scent is my favorite!) LuluSugar (great for small favors!), Wisdom House (nice boxes!).
As far as I am concerned, this is the best bag of bath salts in the whole world. They are available at different places and in different sizes - but Soothing Touch Sore Muscle Soak smells so good and works so well.
Never underestimate how much I love Victoria Creams from Rogers Chocolates in Canada. This is the best candy I have ever had - and a beautiful gift to share. But give yourself some time - they are out of Canada and it takes a little longer to ship to the US. Definitely worth a holiday indulgence - or place an order early for a special Valentine.
Our family really enjoys playing games around the holidays. Here are a few of our favorites: Bananagrams - Taboo - Cranium ... my friend Nissa has me hooked on Catan... and when my kids were little we always enjoyed Guess Who?
Professionally I am enjoying using the game Totem to help people get to know each other - but this is fun with families as well, and now they have a junior version.
And of course I love ALL our groups - so please take a look at everything coming your way in the spring on our new website. Many of our spring classes CLOSE on 12/19 and that is just one week away. Thanks for reading my whole blog post - use the code CAREFULREADER for $10 off any of our offerings if you sign up between now and Christmas.
I should also mention that I am a champion of SELF-CARE and SELF-LOVE, and I find most people feel really guilty when they practice either of these. We need a new way of thinking and I am here to help. You can apply with me to receive up to $100 grant toward an act of personal self-care/self-love. Simply send me an email to brandicdiamond@gmail.com and let me know what your self-care plans are. I'll choose a person to receive this grant over the next few days - so please act now so I can consider yours!
What are some of your favorite things? I'd love to hear.
Brandi
